ASCE MN Report Card - Call for Volunteers

The Minnesota Infrastructure Report Card Committee from the ASCE Minnesota and Duluth Sections is recruiting engineers from various infrastructure backgrounds to join the 2026 effort.

Infrastructure Report Cards are our opportunity to communicate our state’s infrastructure

needs and priorities to lawmakers and members of the public. Our last report card, Minnesota Infrastructure | ASCE's 2022 Infrastructure Report Card, was released in 2022 and covered ten categories of infrastructure.

Currently, we are recruiting for the following categories:

Aviation, Dams, Drinking Water, Energy, Inland Waterways (NEW), Ports, Rail (NEW), Schools (NEW), Solid Waste (NEW), Stormwater (NEW), Transit, and Wastewater.

Adoption of new categories will depend on the availability, interest and expertise of committee members. We are also soliciting volunteers for various other tasks, including working with the Report Card Chair and ASCE National staff to develop and executive a plan to release the grades.

We anticipate holding our kickoff orientation in April 2025 and publishing grades by April 2026 (dates tentative). The time commitment is usually around five (5) hours a month but can be more depending on your availability and category choice. New categories will require more time but can be spread out among committee members.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the New Participant Survey linked below by March 31st, 2025. Email Hannah at reportcard@ascemn.org if you have any questions.
