October Section Meeting

  • SEH Office Rochester 717 3rd Avenue Southeast, STE 101 Rochester, MN, 55904 United States (map)

ASCE MN invites you to our October Section meeting down in Rochester, MN! Brian Morgan, PE of SEH Inc. will be presenting the topic "Building Teams & Developing Talent using CliftonStrengths". Dinner will be provided! This is a great opportunity to meet with fellow ASCE members, epecially those that live outside of the Twin Cities!

Topic:

Many of us have taken some kind of psychometric test as part of our professional development.  Often we read the results, capture a few insights from them, and move on.  But what if you leaned in as a group, focused on what those results suggest, and began relying on each person’s strengths?  This presentation will provide an overview of psychometrics in the workplace and focus on CliftonStrengths, formally StrengthsFinder, and how to build an effective team while also developing each individual into the best (and happiest) version of themselves.  Imagine using the tool as a way of speaking about what we do best, and how we can uniquely contribute to team success.

Speaker Bio:

Brian Morgan, PE is a Senior Engineer and Project Manager with SEH and the Program Chair for Leadership Greater Rochester’s Class of 2024.  He has used CliftonStrengths throughout his career and will include specific examples of personal growth, team building, and the powerful results that come from employees leaning into their innate strengths to achieve success.

This event is offered both in person and online. This event will take place at SEH's office in Rochester on Thursday October 12th, starting at 5pm. The presentation will begin at 5:30pm. A Microsoft Teams link will be shared to everyone who registers for the virtual presentation. Please join us for an evening of networking and learning! PDH certificates will be available.
