Overview: 5th Annual Build ‘Em and Bust ‘Em Competition

Commitment: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Looking for: We are excited to announce an upcoming event for 3rd to 5th grade students from local public elementary schools. This fun and educational event will give students the opportunity to work with their teachers to build bridges out of toothpicks, and then test them for efficiency. We’re looking for volunteers to help make this event a success! Your involvement could include assisting the students with busting their bridges, helping set up the event, judging, organizing a campus visit, and cheering on the students as they showcase their hard work! No previous volunteering experience is needed. Whether you have experience with bridge engineering or just want to lend a hand, we’d love to have you join us! Your enthusiasm and support will make this event memorable for the students and help foster a love of science and engineering. Coffee, treats, and lunch will be provided to judges.
